General morphology course. Volume 4

I. A. Melchuk

"General morphology course" is a compendium of modern knowledge in the field of morphology of natural languages. Its object is the word-in all its semantic, formal and combinatorial aspects. To describe the properties and behavior of words in the languages of the Earth, a deductive system of strict concepts covering all areas of morphology has been developed. Based on both the author's own 30-year study and the available publications, Kurs is a very unique publication: there is no work in the linguistic literature on the morphology of such coverage. The fourth volume is in the" course of General morphology " the Central position: it is dedicated to major morphological features (mainly morphological, but also supramarginal, reduplication 2 , apophenia and ). Much attention is paid to the opposition "morpheme-morpheme" observed against the background of other similar oppositions. also characteristic morphological features: megamorfy and morphological frazemy (kvazimorfy). Finally, we analyzed the Notion and suggested the malleability of seventeen possible types of formal semantic relations between linguistic signs. The book is intended for linguists of all specialties and can be used as a textbook for students of philological universities.
